Sophie Roberts, RD, MSc, P.GDip
Sophie is a Registered Dietitian based in Oxford, UK. She provides down-to-earth strategies for eating healthily at any life stage and combines nutrition know-how with practical advice to support people with a wide range of health conditions and concerns. Her time is currently divided between the NHS and private clients who she sees at her practice in Oxford.
Sophie has a Masters in Applied Human Nutrition and a postgraduate degree in Dietetics.
She specializes in mindful eating, cardiovascular health, polycystic ovary syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome (particularly the low FODMAP diet approach) and diabetes. Her approach uses nutrition to both improve and avoid health problems. Having worked for the NHS in a specialist bariatric service and diabetes management she understands the importance of finding long-term, sustainable solutions to eating well and reaching a healthy weight.
Sophie is one of only a handful of people in Europe qualified to deliver MB-EAT (Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training), the most evaluated and researched mindful eating approach.
In addition to supporting individuals to improve their health Sophie also writes articles and develops recipes for a number of clients and publications, combining the latest in nutrition research with a sustainable and practical approach to preparing food. Her writing and recipes have been highly praised by the Guardian, Olive Magazine, Channel 4 Food and Slow Food for their simple, healthy and sustainable approach to getting dinner on the table. She is committed to providing evidence-based information and is delighted to be able to promote this to a wider audience in her role as a media spokesperson of the British Dietetic Association.
